HUMAN RIGHTS: THE RIGHTS OF EVERY HUMAN BEING



     

Article 1 )    

*    All human beings are born free.

     

*           All human beings live their life freely.


*           All human beings in the world are equal.
*           All human beings in the world are brothers.
*           All human beings in the world have dignity.

*           All human beings have reason and conscience.         
*           They can love one another as sisters and brothers.          

Article 2 )      
*    The rights and freedoms in this declaration are true for all human beings.

*           It doesn’t make a difference if they are women or men.
*           It doesn’t make a difference if their skin is yellow, red, white or black.
*           It doesn’t make a difference if they are children, young or old.
*           It doesn’t make a difference if they are rich or poor.
*           It doesn’t make a difference if they live in the city or the countryside.
*           It doesn’t make a difference if they are African, European, Asian or American.

*           Their birthplace, their language, their ideas and beliefs don’t matter.

*           Their country, nation or origin or their disability doesn’t hinder their exercise of these rights.

Article 3 )      
*           To live,
To be free,
To be secure,
Are basic rights of every human being.

Article 4 )    

*           No human being can be enslaved.

*           Enslavement is absolutely forbidden.
*           Slave trade is not allowed anywhere around the world.

Article 5 )      
*    No one has the right to torture a human being or to be cruel to them.

*           No one can treat a human being in an inhumane and degrading way.
*           No human being can be sentenced to a degrading punishment.

Article 6 )
*    All human beings have the right to the protection of their names, civic rights and family ties.

Article 7 )       
*    Laws are made so that human beings can live better.
*           That’s why their opinions are asked in the making of laws.
*           All human beings are equal before the law.

*           Every human being has an equal right to benefit from the protection of the law.
*           The rights outlined in this declaration are for all human beings in the world.

*           Sometimes, some people may treat other people badly.
*           All human beings have the right to be protected against those bad people.
*           Sometimes, there may be people that want other people to be treated badly.
*           All human beings also have the right to be protected against people who want others to be treated badly.

Article 8 )       
*    Human rights are built into laws.
*           Sometimes these rights can be violated by bad people.
*           Then, the person whose right is violated can go to court.
*           They can ask the judge to protect their rights.
*           The court gives that person what is rightfully theirs.

Article 9 )       
*    Nobody can be arrested if they did not commit a crime that goes against the law.

*           Unless the laws say otherwise, no human being can be deprived of their freedom.
*           Unless the laws say otherwise, no one can be sent to exile from their own country.

Article 10)      
*    Sometimes, there may be false allegations against someone.
*           People have the right to ask for a trial at a court to clarify this allegation.
*           Courts are impartial and independent.
*           They pursue these trials in an open way.
*           Courts must solve cases with justice.

Article 11 )
*    Each person assumed to have committed a crime have the right to defend themselves.
*           They are given all opportunities to exercise their right to defend themselves.

*           Courts make open and fair trials.
*           If the laws don’t find someone guilty, that person is innocent, not guilty. No one can punish them.

*           No one can be punished for an action that is not a crime according to laws.

*           No one can be given a penalty that is not set by the law.

Article 12 )
*    No one can interfere with people’s private lives, families, homes and communication.

*           No one can enter people’s homes or go through their belongings without their permission.
*           No one can snoop their telephones, mail and messages.
*           Human beings cannot be treated in a degrading way.

*           Laws prevent others from interfering in our private lives and degrading human beings.

Article 13 )
*    Everyone has the right to roam and live freely in a country.
*           Human beings can choose the place and town that they will live in.

*           Everyone has the right to depart from and return to a country.
*           Everyone has the right to depart from and return to their home country.

Article 14 )
*    One can seek asylum to another country if their country oppresses them.

*           Those who do harm to others and the environment cannot benefit from this right.

Article 15 )
*    Every human being is a citizen of a country.
*           The right to citizenship cannot be taken away Unless the laws say otherwise.
*           No one can be deprived of the right to change citizenship Unless the laws say otherwise.

Article 16 )
*    All women and men of proper age have the right to get married and start a family.
*           Women and men have equal rights in marriage.
*           Women and men have equal rights in maintaining the marriage.
*           Women and men have equal rights in ending the marriage.
*           No one can be forced to get married.
*           Human beings get married with the free will and decision of two individuals.
*           No one can interfere with the marriages of individuals from different countries or different beliefs.

*           The family is important for society.

Article 17 )
*    Every human being has the right to buy houses, cars, land and shops.
*           Everyone can get joint property, as partners with other people.

*           Unless the laws say otherwise, no one’s property can be taken away.

Article 18 )
*    Every human being has freedom of thought, conscience and religion.

*           Human beings are free in their thoughts.
*           Human beings can freely express their thoughts.
*           Human beings can freely say, write, draw their thoughts.

*           Human beings are free about which religion to believe in.
*           They can choose and believe any religion they want.        
*           They can change their religion if they want.
*           They can practice their religion and carry out the practices relevant to their beliefs alone or together with other people.
*           They can carry out the practices relevant to their religion openly or privately.

Article 19 )
*    Every human being in the world has the right to express their thoughts.
*           Human beings cannot be harassed because of their thoughts.
*           Human beings have the right to search for information through all tools and means.
*           All human beings have the right to access knowledge and ideas.
*           Human beings have the right to spread their ideas and knowledge.

Article 20 )
*    Human beings have the right to get together and assemble for a cause.

*           All human beings have the right to form organizations for peaceful reasons.
*           All human beings have the right to be a member of an organization formed for peaceful reasons.

*           No one can be forced to become a member of an organization against their will.

Article 21 )
*    Every human being has the right to take part in the government of their country.

*           Human beings sometimes exercise this right directly via a referendum or a plebiscite.
*           Sometimes they exercise this right by freely electing the deputies that will represent them.
*           Elections should be held in an open and fair manner so that countries can be governed well.

*           Elections are repeated periodically.
*           If a free election environment is prepared, elections will be fair.

*           If elections are not honest, rulers will not be respectable and credible.

*           Every human being in the world has the right to benefit from the basic services in their country.

Article 22 )
*    Every human being has the right to social security.

*           Every human being is a valuable member of society.
*           Every human being has the right to enjoy services like nutrition, housing, clothing, health and education and the right to spend their spare time.
*           This right is very important for a human being to live with dignity.
*           This right is very important for a human being to develop a character freely.
*           Every country builds a social security system to make sure that people can exercise this right.
*           Social security accepts every individual as a valuable member of society.

*           Countries cooperate for the social security system when necessary.

Article 23 )
Every human being has the right to work.
*           Every human being has the right to freely choose their profession and occupation.
*           Human beings have the right to work under fair and adequate conditions.
*           Everyone has the right to be protected from unemployment.

*           Every human being has the right to get equal pay for equal work.

*           Every working person has the right to get a pay that is enough for them and their family.

*           Everyone has the right to form unions in order to protect workers’ rights.
*           Everyone has the right to become a member of a union.

Article 24 )
*           Human beings have the right to rest and have fun.
*           That’s why their working hours should be humane.
*           Working hours should be reasonable.
*           Working people are periodically provided paid vacation.

Article 25 )

*    Every human being has the right to a humane life.


*           For a humane life, they have the right to fully meet their needs of nutrition, clothing, housing, health and education.

*           There may be occasions when people cannot work and don’t have an income due to illness, old age, disability or unemployment.
*           They have the right to social security to meet their needs in such occasions.

*           Mothers and children have the right to special assistance.
*           All children have the right to special protection whether or not they have parents.

Article 26 )
*    All human beings have the right to get education.

*           Primary education is for free.
*           Primary education is compulsory for everyone.
*           Vocational and technical education is open to everyone.
*           Higher education is available to everyone with equal opportunity depending on success.

*           The purpose of education is to develop people’s personalities.
*           The purpose of education is to teach people to respect human rights and basic freedoms.

*           Education teaches human beings that all human beings in the world are brothers and sisters.
*           It teaches understanding and tolerance.
*           It aims to improve world peace.

*           Mothers and fathers have the right to choose the education that their children will get.

Article 27)
*    Every human being has the right to enjoy fine arts.
*           Every human being has the right to follow scientific developments.
*           Every human being has the right to join cultural life.

*           Human beings have the right to read books, write books, draw paintings and make sculptures, see exhibitions, go to the theatre or cinema, or act in a theatre.
*           They have the right to enjoy fine arts like photography, music and dance.
*           They have the right to learn tales and folk songs.
*           They have the right to use scientific developments, engage in scientific activities, make inventions and discoveries.

*           Human beings are free to create artistic and scientific products.
*           The rights of human beings over these products are protected.

Article 28)

*    Human beings have the right to fully exercise their rights and freedoms.


*           They have the right to live in a free world and a free country.


*           Human beings can only exercise their freedoms in a peaceful world and a country.


*           Human beings can only fully exercise their rights in a world and a country where air, water sources and land are not polluted.


*           Human beings can be free in a world and a country where violence and hunger doesn’t exist.


*           Human beings can flourish in a world and a country where animals are not mistreated, trees are not cut.


*           Human beings can enjoy their dignity in a world and a country where human beings, the nature and life are respected.       


*           Human beings can only be completely happy in a world and a country where birds sing, all children can laugh out loud.


*           All of these are the rights of all human beings.



Article 29 )
*    Human beings live and flourish in a social environment.
*           That’s why human beings have duties to the society.
*           They respect others’ rights in exercising their own rights.

*           They do not oppose laws that define human rights simply because these laws are against their own interests.

*           The rights in this declaration cannot be used against the notion peace, freedom and brotherhood.

Article 30 )
*    None of the rules in this declaration gives
Any state
Any person
The right to destroy even one single human being’s rights and freedoms.
